My favorite stop action photo is the one of the US Olympic bobsled team in action. I like it because the snow is visible and the team is in mid air, running. With the blurry and focus snow coating the sharp team, it contrast nicely. Also I like to watch the Olympic bobsled event.

My favorite subject photo blur is the one of the book pages blowing in the wind on the fence. I like this one because in my experience, this the of photo is hard to capture. Also, it is aesthetically pleasing because of how many pages there are.

My favorite panning photo is the one of the ski jumper in mid air, with the crowd in the background. I like this because I learned to capture a panning photo, you must move with the subject. This photo is awesome because i don't know how the photographer moved with the ski jumper in mid air. Also it shows how much pressure is on the jump with the crowd in the background...wow!

Have you ever thought why your favorite stop action photo was of the ones with lots of skiers? That one was my least favorite because it was from so far away and with too many people. There was no central focus because so many people were in the photo.

- My favorite stop action photo is the image of the girl who was drenched in water and the photographer (Bob Martin) froze the action with all the water droplets surrounding her and I like how the water and her pose made the picture seem really intricate.

My favorite subject blur photo was of the man on the bike going straight at the camera, because this photo showed the fast pace.
My favorite panning photo was the one of the biker, the rest of the stadium was intensely blurred, it shows the high pressure of the moment.

However, on a deeper level, his photos are a way for their viewers to better understand the experience the subject of each photo is going through. The motion blur allows viewers to feel the speed of a race car or imagine the swift movements of a world class runner. Motion photography allows for aspects of reality to be captured that no other type of photography allows for.

My favorite panning photo is of the two men riding dirt bikes around a corner, because the riders are in sharp focus
but the background is very blurry and dull. This makes the dirt bike riders stand ou.

I agree with you comment about the photo about the horse race with the grass and dirt being thrown I really likes this picture too because it was up close and in such good focus! If you liked all the variety of color in the stop action photos did you see the photo of the person entering the swimming pool with the water around him? If not you should go look at it I think you would really like it is is in Bob Martin's Graphic section of his blog!

I agree with your favorite picture for panning I though that was very cool as well. I also liked how the photographer made the picture so focused on Tiger Woods. What made that picture stand out from the other ones?!
@KayleeE- I also like the photo of the man in the pink uniform. I loved how bright he was and how the background was perfectly blurred. Have you seen the panning image of a man riding a bike?
@AlexT- I agree that Bob Martin's images advertise sporting events. I also think they show athletes in their natural environments.
