I like the tip about shooting at different seasons especially for Colorado since we have four season and very natural beautiful scenery to shoot. In terms of my photography Id like to improve on is get the "non touristy" shots as Peter says. Tis being said Ill have to be patient and wait for the right shot with lightening clouds etc. I may . have to hike a bit to get the right shot as well.
In colorado we could use the tips like thingking what season it is and planning. In colorado we have many scenic areas so it might be a good idea to choose a few and take time at each one instead of trying to take many images at many locations.

@Raelyn D I agree with having to check the weather. It would be bad to get to where you are taking pictures and then not have the opportunity to take pictures.
Some tips that i could use for my landscaping in Colorado are to make sure the weather looks good, you also have to be patient and wait for the perfect moment to take you picture.

Figuring out when to take photos is an essential to any photographer, let alone someone living in Colorado. I should also be patient because some things come easy to various people and some things don't, and landscape may not be easy for me, so I just have to be patient.

Patience is definitely something I could work on. I've always thought that I need to get these projects done immediately so I just go outside, take a couple photos and settle for photographs don't like all that much. I need to just wait and watch for something to catch my eye for these landscape photos.

Colorado experiences all 4 seasons very heavily, so I really liked the tip about thinking in the mindset of the seasons. For example; when shooting in the winter in CO, snow is going to be in almost all your photographs. Gray lighting will also be present.

7. Check on weather conditions, incoming clouds, and sunrise and sunset times before you go. Also, do some research into shadows in parts of the park you are considering shooting.
I think this one would be the most impactful because knowing what conditions we will be shooting in prior to our shooting, can be very helpful.

8. You have to be patient, folks. The right light may take a little time. The right clouds too. Etc. etc. etc. And if you want those non-tourist shots that are a Peter Lik trademark, you’re going to have to hike a bit – maybe a lot. So you need to be fit and you need to make sure you have your satellite phone – and have told someone where you’re going – in case you get hurt. It happens. And, at 761,268 acres, this is a very big park!
I think i could improve on being patient, I commonly will rush to take a photo in order to just get it done even though I should wait for better lighting and/or take my time till I get the perfect shot.

Some tips I have to take landscape photos are:
1. Be prepared for the weather, weather changes pretty fast and frequently in Colorado. It could be sunny one moment and super cloudy and rainy in the next second. Always bring a hoodie to be safe.
2. Go to places like Breckenridge, Aspen, etc. for beautiful/inspirational landscape photos.
